Dhuriyapar industrial township: GIDA to start allotment within a week
GORAKHPUR, June 22 -- Following the inauguration of the 91.35-km Gorakhpur Link Expressway by chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday, the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) is set to commence the allotment of industrial plots in the Dhuriyapar industrial township within a week.
Giving this information, chief executive officer, GIDA, Anuj Malik on Saturday said the master plan has been approved and the allotment of plots will begin shortly.
In the initial phase, industrial land will be allocated in two sectors, with the processes of land acquisition and allotment running concurrently.
The Dhuriyapar Industrial Township-envisioned as "Greater GIDA"-is a major component of the region's industrial expansion plan. The township's master plan was approved by the state government on June 17.
As part of the development, 17 villages in the Dhuriyapar area have been notified for land acquisition.
More than 600 acres of land has already been acquired. Once completed, the township is expected to become the largest industrial land bank in the Purvanchal region.
In addition, the government plans to establish an electronics manufacturing cluster within the township to boost the region's industrial capabilities. Investor-friendly policies under CM Yogi Adityanath have made Gorakhpur a preferred destination for industrial investment.
GIDA has consistently allocated plots in its pre-planned industrial areas and, under the CM's guidance, has developed a strategic blueprint for the new township in southern Gorakhpur.
Previously considered underdeveloped, the southern region is now poised for rapid industrial growth.
