Dehradun, Sept. 4 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the state secretariat, focusing on law and order, road conditions, the upcoming Seva Pakhwada (service fortnight )campaign and directed officials to ensure that governance remains "smooth, safe and transparent." During the meeting, Dhami asked senior officers to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards any attempt to disrupt peace and ordered strict action against lawbreakers and instructed police to intensify border checks, strengthen night patrolling, and maintain regular monitoring of sensitive locations through CCTV surveillance. On the issue of infrastructural damage due to heavy rains, Dhami said a special statewide drive should be launched to make roads pothole-free once the monsoon ends. He directed officials to fast-track the tender process for road repair and improvement works so that projects can begin without delay.
