Dehradun, Sept. 20 -- Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday chaired the first meeting of the State-Level Disha Committee at the Secretariat in Dehradun, where he reviewed the progress of key state and central government schemes. The Uttarakhand DISHA Committee is the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee for the state of Uttarakhand, formed under the Ministry of Rural Development to monitor the effective implementation of key central government schemes Schemes in sectors including agriculture, rural and urban development, health, education, women and child welfare, employment, social security, environment, sports, and digital technology were taken up for detailed review. Dhami directed officials to speed up the implementation of these schemes so that the maximum number of people can benefit at the earliest. He said there was a need for transparency, accountability, and inter-departmental coordination, adding that continuous, concrete steps were being taken to position Uttarakhand among the leading states in the country.
