DGP reviews training infra for 60K cops
LUCKNOW, June 20 -- Uttar Pradesh director general of police (DGP) Rajeev Krishna on Thursday inspected the Police Lines at Kalli Paschim, Lucknow, to review the training infrastructure and ensure essential facilities for the 60,244 newly recruited constables whose joining training course (JTC) has recently commenced.
The DGP assessed barracks, mess facilities, academic arrangements, logistics and other infrastructure at the training site. He also interacted with trainee constables to gather feedback and understand their motivations for joining the force.
Encouraging the recruits, DGP Krishna highlighted the importance of approaching training with willpower and dedication, noting that this phase would lay the foundation for their careers in policing. He praised their determination in clearing the competitive recruitment process.
Addressing officers present, he directed that all basic facilities be provided in accordance with Police Training Directorate guidelines. This includes timely allocation of police number orders, distribution of uniform kits, bank account setup, ID card issuance and registration on the Manav Sampada HR portal.
