VARANASI, Oct. 29 -- Soulful devotional and folk performances by renowned artists from across the country will enchant devotees at Ganga Mahotsav, a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and traditional art, set to be held at Rajghat from November 1 to 4. Celebrated singer Hansraj Raghuvanshi and Padma Shri Malini Awasthi will highlight the essence of North Indian folk music, while Padma Shri Geeta Chandran will enthrall audiences with her elegant Bharatanatyam performance. The festival will present a mesmerising fusion of classical, devotional, and folk traditions. Additionally, top performers from the Kashi MP Cultural Programme Competition will showcase their talents at Namo Ghat. According to joint director of tourism Dinesh Kumar, the four-day Mahotsav will be a grand celebration of song, dance, and instrumental music, with the stage coming alive to the rhythms of folk and classical melodies alongside captivating traditional dance performances. On the concluding day, Hansraj Raghuvanshi will present soulful devotional bhajans, while Padma Shri Geeta Chandran's Bharatanatyam on November 2 and Padma Shri Malini Awasthi's folk performance on November 3 will be among the major highlights, Kumar said.
