LUCKNOW, Aug. 25 -- Deoria's players performed well and captured the overall championship trophy in the fifth Uttar Pradesh State Under Water Sports and Fin Swimming Championship here on Sunday. Host Lucknow gave a tough fight but had to be content with the runner-up trophy. Deoria secured the first position with 268 points. Host Lucknow remained in second place with 186 points while Varanasi had to be content with the third position with 160 points. With the expansion of Kho-Kho in Uttar Pradesh, the stage is set to bring out the talent of the boys and girls here in a better way as now UP Kho-Kho League is going to be organized in Uttar Pradesh on the lines of Premier Cricket League in the last week of April at Noida. The bidding for the players will be held in November.
