Delivery hub manager flees with Rs.82L worth of mobile phones, cash
LUCKNOW, Sept. 7 -- A case of corporate theft came to light in the city, where a delivery hub manager allegedly fled with mobile phones and cash worth over Rs.82 lakh, said police.
According to the FIR lodged on Friday at Chinhat police station, the accused has been identified as Abhishek Makhan Pathak, who had been serving as an assistant store manager at the delivery hub in Gomti Nagar since February this year.
In his complaint, company representative, Shailesh Gaur stated that Pathak was on duty on the night of September 3 and 4. "At around 2.30 am, he allegedly packed 94 mobile phones into a crate and passed them over to an unidentified accomplice through gate no. 2 of the warehouse. He also took away Rs.32,280 in cash before disappearing," the FIR read.
"The total value of the stolen goods amounts to Rs.82,04,676, excluding the cash," the complainant stated. Police said the entire act was recorded on CCTV cameras, and documents such as Pathak's Aadhaar card, PAN, bank account details, and employment records have been seized as part of the investigation. "A case has been registered under section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023," said Chinhut station house officer (SHO), Dinesh Chandra Mishra, adding, "Raids are being conducted to arrest the accused, while technical surveillance teams are examining CCTV footage and phone records to trace his movements."HTC...
