Delhi air satisfactory for 2nd straight day
India, March 17 -- Delhi's air quality was recorded in the 'satisfactory' category for a second straight day on Sunday, aided by good wind speed and recent rain across Delhi NCR. The 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) stood at 99 (satisfactory) at 4pm on Sunday, a marginal dip from a reading of 85 (satisfactory) on Saturday, which was also Delhi's cleanest air day since September 29, 2024. The impact of the prevailing western disturbance is expected to weaken by Monday, with temperatures set to rise once again in the coming days, Met department officials said. Delhi's maximum temperature is forecast to rise by 6-7 degrees Celsius by Thursday, possibly touch 38 degrees in parts of the city, they said.
