AGRA, Oct. 20 -- Search resumed on Sunday in the room popularly known as 'toshkhana', which was opened at the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan after 54 years on Saturday under the supervision of a Supreme Court-appointed high powered committee, but no substantial material was found despite the committee reaching till 'tehkhana' (hidden basement). The room had remained locked since 1971. The decision to open the sealed room had been taken by the high-powered committee at its meeting in September. However the boxes recovered on Saturday were opened and four 'chhadi' (sticks), one believed to be of gold and three of silver, were found in them. The search on Sunday ended with doors getting sealed again, Dinesh Goswami, one of the committee members accompanying the team, said. On Saturday, a 'tijori' (safe), two boxes, a 'chatra' (cover), wooden structures and utensils were found in the room, said Goswamis, who were members of the team that went inside. Six precious stones were also recovered as search operation prior to Diwali festival got over on Sunday.
