Cyber safety drive held in Piparsand village
Lucknow, April 24 -- Amid rising online fraud in rural areas, a cyber safety awareness workshop was held at Upper Primary School, Piparsand in Sarojini Nagar, highlighting digital risks faced by villagers.
Titled "Psy-ber Pathshala", the session was organised by Psynaree Welfare Foundation in collaboration with RT Cyber Academy. Around 60-70 participants, including children, youth, women and senior citizens, attended.
Experts warned how fraudsters target first-time smartphone users through phishing links, fake bank calls and bogus investment schemes. Participants were advised not to share OTPs or download unknown APK files, which can lead to data theft.
Volunteers Ayesha Kamal, Aanchal Yadav, Shreyansh Kumar, Daya Shankar Nigam, Amolika Srivastava, Simran Rai and Agrima Srivastava organised the event. Monthly awareness drives are planned. The session also covered Aadhaar-linked biometric safety and responsible mobile use for children....
