LUCKNOW, Sept. 27 -- The CSIR laboratories opened their doors to the public on Friday during the 'Open Day' organised to mark the 84th Foundation Day of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). At CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), the laboratories, botanic garden, exposition and other facilities were opened for visitors. More than 2,000 students from 20 schools and colleges in Lucknow visited the institute and interacted with scientists and experts, who briefed them about the institute's R&D activities and achievements. As part of Special Campaign 5.0, an awareness programme on e-waste management was also held at NBRI. At CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), nearly 800 students and 50 educators from institutions in Lucknow, Sitapur, Barabanki, Hardoi, Jaunpur, Kanpur and Unnao participated. HTC...
