Dehradun, Jan. 20 -- Chief secretary Anand Bardhan on Monday directed the education department to expand the "Shiksha Ki Baat" (Talk on Education) programme across the state, emphasising the need for continuous interaction between students and achievers from diverse fields, including industrialists, scientists, professors and other distinguished professionals. During his visit to Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya in Nanurkheda, the Chief Secretary participated in the 'Shiksha Ki Baat' programme and interacted with students from various schools across Uttarakhand through video conferencing. Addressing the gathering, Bardhan suggested that the programme should be initially rolled out in cluster schools, with all cluster institutions being connected to it. Bardhan also cautioned students about excessive dependence on mobile phones and technology. "We should control technology, not let it control us. Books, sports, and creative thinking are equally important for holistic development," he said....
