Lucknow, Nov. 22 -- The Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration conducted a major enforcement drive across 10 districts in the Central and Eastern regions. The operation targeted adulterated paneer, milk, and khoya-products widely consumed during the festive and wedding season. Authorities collected 41 samples, destroyed 35 quintals of adulterated dairy items worth an estimated Rs 10 lakh, and seized 58 quintals of suspicious material valued at Rs 12 lakh. Three FIRs were lodged against five individuals, and several establishments were sealed or issued improvement notices. In Lucknow, a pickup truck transporting 15 quintals of suspected adulterated paneer from Palwal, Haryana was intercepted near the Agra Expressway toll plaza.
