Dehradun, June 21 -- In a significant move to curb unauthorised absenteeism among medical staff, the government has made biometric attendance mandatory in all government health institutions across the state. State health and medical education minister Dhan Singh Rawat on Friday directed officials to ensure immediate implementation of the system in hospitals and medical colleges.
Rawat said, "Biometric attendance has been made compulsory in district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, joint hospitals, primary health centres, sub-centres, and medical colleges. Instructions have been issued to install biometric machines in all these institutions without delay".HTC...
