LUCKNOW, Sept. 29 -- Stray canine menace continues to haunt Lucknow as the dog sterilization drive has taken a hit during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dog-catching staff of LMC also remained engaged in sanitization drives, which affected the animal birth control programme, complained residents.
According to an estimate, 95% people, who are administered anti-rabies vaccine in the city, are bitten by dogs.
"After the launch of the animal birth control programme, the number of street dogs has increased in the city," said Sayyed Yawar Hussain 'Reshu', leader of opposition in the LMC House.
