LUCKNOW, Dec. 19 -- Lucknow police on Wednesday night registered a murder case against a woman and her family members in connection with the mysterious death of a 28-year-old doctor at a city hotel on October 17. The case was filed following a court order. According to Madiaon SHO Shivanand Mishra, Ilma Ansari, her father Imdad Ali, her mother Farzana, and other unidentified associates have been booked for murder. Mishra also confirmed that a substantial quantity of steroids was recovered from the hotel room during the investigation. Ilma was allegedly with Fuzail Ahmad, 28, a resident of the Sadar Kotwali area in Sitapur, when he was found in a critical condition inside a hotel room in Bharat Nagar under the Madiaon police station limits. He was admitted to a hospital, where he died during treatment. Initially, no FIR was registered by the police, prompting the family to approach the court. Fuzail's elder brother Owais Ahmad said he completed MBBS and was staying in a rented accommodation in Khadra, Madehganj, while preparing for higher studies. As per reports, on October 17, Subhan Ahmad, another brother of Fuzail, received a call informing him that the latter was found unconscious in a hotel room and had been rushed to the KGMU Trauma Centre. By the time the family reached there, Fuzail had already died. Police later told the family that Fuzail was staying in the hotel room with Ilma, a resident of Pakka Bagh in Sitapur.
