Dehradun, June 29 -- The special task force (STF) of Uttarakhand police has arrested the kingpin of a gang allegedly involved in manufacturing and selling counterfeit medicines under the brand names of reputed pharmaceutical companies across several states, police said on Saturday. The gang was operating across multiple states, including Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh, manufacturing fake medicines and selling them under the guise of genuine branded drugs, they added.
