Corbett may launch full-day safari to boost eco-tourism
Haldwani, April 27 -- Tourists visiting Jim Corbett National Park may soon be able to explore the wilderness for an entire day, with the state forest department proposing a 'full-day safari' on the lines of similar models in Ranthambore National Park and Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, officials said.
The full-day safari is proposed as an eco-tourism initiative and will be launched once the government finalises the fee structure, forest officials said.
Corbett Tiger Reserve director Dr Saket Badola said the reserve remains one of the country's most preferred wildlife tourism destinations and the proposal follows growing demand from visitors for longer safari experiences.
