LUCKNOW, Nov. 14 -- A police team was allegedly attacked by a mob of around 40-50 unidentified people near Balaji Temple in Ambedkar Nagar under Banthra police station limits on Wednesday night, when officers reached the spot following a clash between two groups. According to the FIR lodged by constable Yamji Mishra, the incident occurred around 8:17 pm on November 12 (Wednesday). A team led by sub-inspectors Brijbhan, Abhay Kumar Gupta, and Ranveer Singh reached the area after receiving information about a violent altercation. The officers found several people injured and began sending them to hospital in an ambulance when a group of men and women allegedly hurled bricks and stones at police vehicles, abused personnel, and tried to obstruct official duty.
