VARANASI, Feb. 28 -- A 40-year-old contract power worker died after suffering severe burn injuries when power supply was suddenly restored during transformer installation in Jogni Lodhauta village of Sonbhadra district on Thursday evening, officials said. Santosh, a resident of Bisahar, had taken a shutdown and was installing a transformer with colleagues when electricity resumed unexpectedly, electrocuting him while he was on the pole. He was rushed to Sonbhadra district hospital and later referred to BHU Trauma Centre in Varanasi, where he died during treatment. An inquiry has been ordered to identify responsibility. htc...
