Cong will be voice of poor, Dalits and minorities: Rai
VARANASI, Oct. 26 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Rai said that the Congress Party will be the voice of the underprivileged, Dalits, tribals, and minorities.
"Wherever injustice, oppression, or crime occurs, the Congress Party's brave and brave workers will stand up to fight such crimes with full force," he said.
Addressing media persons in Varanasi, Rai alleged that the government failed to protect these sections in the last 10 years.
"The Congress Party will fight for justice and equality. As long as even a single person in the country and the state is subjected to injustice in the name of caste or religion, the Congress Party's fight will continue," Rai said.
He said that Diwali has just passed, and the festival of Chhath has just started.
"Our mothers and sisters observe a 36-hour fast without water. No proper arrangements for the cleanliness of the ghats are there. Silt is everywhere," he said.
When asked about the Bihar elections, Rai said that the NDA and Nitish Kumar governments in Bihar have only provided employment in liquor smuggling. Today, Bihar's farmers, youth, Dalits, and backward classes are fed up with the Nitish Kumar government's misrule.
"The people of Bihar have resolved to demand complete change. They will prove it with their votes in this election," Rai said....
