Cong leader Amarnath Agarwal passes away, UP unit expresses grief
LUCKNOW, Nov. 6 -- Senior Congress leader and former spokesperson of the party, Amarnath Agarwal, passed away on Wednesday. He had been unwell for the past two months and was admitted to a private hospital in Gurugram.
In a condolence message, state Congress president Ajay Rai said: "The entire Congress family is shocked and saddened by the death of the senior leader. We pray to God to give the departed soul a place in his feet and give the family courage to bear this immense grief.
"His passing away is an irreparable loss for the Congress. He was not only an excellent speaker, but also a dedicated and committed party worker," said Rai.
