Alwar, Dec. 14 -- A complaint was filed against a private hospital in Rajasthan's Alwar on Saturday after a 44-year-old woman passed away following a gallbladder surgery 10 days ago. NEB police station SHO, Dinesh Meena, said, The woman passed away on Friday night. Her family alleged that she was discharged despite her health not being good. They also alleged that the hospital took an additional Rs.10,000 from them despite they provided necessary documents for a government health scheme." According to the officials, the woman had undergone the surgery on December 3. "It was a microscopic surgery. Yet, she lost a lot of blood and she needed to be given extra three to four units of blood. The family alleged that something went wrong during the surgery that caused such unnatural blood loss in a microscopic operation," said Meena. Despite the family refusing to take her back home, she was discharged on Tuesday. "On Friday night, her health deteriorated and she was declared dead on the arrival at the hospital," said Meena. Following the development, the family members have now filed a complaint with the police against the hospital authority and the doctor who performed the surgery. "Her body has been sent for an autopsy. An FIR will be lodged after an initial probe. The reason of her death is not yet clear. It will be ascertained once the autopsy report comes," he added....
