Lucknow, May 24 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath is likely to focus on how his government is contributing to the country's development when he speaks at the 10th governing council meeting of the Niti Aayog with the theme "Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat @ 2047" in New Delhi on Saturday. He is likely to mention efforts to take UP's GSDP to one trillion dollars, the zero-poverty campaign and achievements on various fronts. Adityanath, who left for New Delhi on Friday evening, will also attend a conference of BJP chief ministers in New Delhi on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at both the events. As the state government has recently set up District One Trillion Dollar (OTD) cells and district magistrates have been asked to review the performance in their respective districts on a quarterly basis, the latest data about the progress made on the district domestic product front may prove handy. U.P's GSDP has shown marked improvement and speaks of the state's efforts on the economic front and contribution to India's USD 5 trillion-dollar economy goal. The state government launched zero poverty campaign on October 2, 2024. It was dedicated to the architect of the Constitution BR Ambedkar on latter's birth anniversary on April 14, 2025. Some of the other achievements that are likely to find a reference include the successful organisation of the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh-2025 attracting 66-crore pilgrims, the rising number of tourists contributing to the state's economy, efforts to draw investment with improvement in the law and order situation, organisation of events like Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit and the groundbreaking ceremonies, the safe city project and the Metro Rail projects. The chief minister's address may also refer to improvements in the state's rankings on various fronts and attempts to bring about all-round development, those aware of the development said....
