LUCKNOW, April 21 -- In the wake of the defeat of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, in the Lok Sabha recently, chief minister Yogi Adityanath will on Tuesday flag off an all-women 'Jan Akrosh' rally from his official residence at 5 KD Marg here. During the flag-off, deputy CMs Brajesh Pathak, Keshav Prasad Maurya, state BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary, party's state general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh along with key NDA alliance leaders and ministers, including Ashish Patel, Om Prakash Rajbhar, Sanjay Nishad, and Anil Kumar will also be present. They, along with the CM, are also likely to take part in the rally. A large number of women from various social organisations, BJP's Mahila Morcha workers from adjoining districts, voluntary groups and different sections of society will take part in the march that will culminate at Vidhan Sabha. According to the organisers, the march is not merely a protest but also a symbol of commitment to ensuring women's rights and participation. The event will send a strong message in support of the steps taken through the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to empower women, said the BJP. The decision was taken at the BJP's Mahanagar unit meeting convened at the state party office. Dharampal Singh, BJP state general secretary (organisation ) presided over the meeting. Anand Dwivedi, BJP's Lucknow Mahanagar president, said that women voters will participate in the rally being taken out as a protest against the opposition parties. Dharampal Singh said that since 2014, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office, the government has introduced various schemes for the upliftment and development of women in the country. These initiatives have brought about positive and reassuring outcomes for women across the nation, said Singh. He called the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam a landmark and politically significant step for women's representation.....
