GORAKHPUR, July 2 -- On the first day of the new academic session, a Class 7 student sought chief minister Yogi Adityanath's assistance so that she could continue her education. Pankhuri Tripathi, from Purdilpur locality in Gorakhpur, approached the CM in the Janata Darshan event held at the Gorakhnath Temple on Tuesday. Pankhuri is a student of an English-medium school. She told the CM that her father, Rajeev, is physically challenged, and her mother, Meenakshi, works in a store to support the family. Her older brother is a Class 12 student. Due to financial hardship, the family is unable to pay her school fees.The CM assured the girl that her education would not be interrupted, and promised her that she'd either get a fee waiver or assistance to cover the costs.
