CM Adityanath to attend 2nd consecration event
LUCKNOW, June 3 -- For Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, his 53rd birthday on June 5 comes on a special day this year, coinciding with the pran pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Darbar (depicting the royal court of Lord Ram) on the first floor of the grand temple in Ayodhya.
People familiar with the matter said the three-day grand celebrations will begin on June 3 and the final ceremony on June 5 will see Adityanath in attendance as the chief guest. The ceremony will fall on the same day as the Ganga Dussehra, which mythologically marks the descent of the sacred Ganga river from heaven to Earth.
Besides the Ram Darbar, idols of several deities will also be installed amid Vedic rituals in adjoining temples that have been constructed on the Ram Janmabhoomi campus. In the Ram Darbar, an idol of Lord Ram, in the avatar of king, along with that of Goddess Sita will be placed on a two-foot-high white marble throne, the people cited above said.
Idols of Lord Hanuman and Lakshman will also be placed in a sitting position in front of the Ram Darbar while idols of Bharat and Shatrughan - brothers of Lord Ram and Lakshman - will be installed in standing posture behind the throne....
