CM Abhyudaya Yojana achieves milestone with over 300 candidates in PCS Mains 2024
LUCKNOW, July 5 -- The Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana, an initiative of the Uttar Pradesh social welfare department, has reached a new milestone with over 300 candidates associated with the scheme appearing in the PCS Main Examination 2024-marking the highest participation to date under any government-run free competitive exam coaching programme, a department spokesperson announced.
Launched to provide free and high-quality coaching for competitive examinations, the scheme has seen rapid expansion across districts and rural areas.
It is not only boosting youth participation in civil services but is also playing a significant role in reducing unemployment, according to an official press release.
This year, the Bhagidari Bhawan coaching center in Gomtinagar, Lucknow, emerged as the most active hub under the Yojana, with over 200 candidates appearing for the PCS exam from this center alone.
Additionally, more than 70 students appeared from the Hapur center, and over 35 from the Adarsh Pre-Examination Training Centre.
Students under the scheme benefited from a range of support services, including 24-hour library access, comprehensive study materials, regular test series, and specialized answer writing sessions-creating a structured and effective preparation environment.
Minister of state for social welfare (independent charge) Asim Arun praised the initiative, stating that the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana reflects chief minister Yogi Adityanath's visionary leadership.
"This scheme has demonstrated that with the right guidance, resources, and support, youth from any background can excel in administrative services," Arun said.
