PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 24 -- A Class 11 student was killed on Monday near the Bagaha overbridge under the Handia police station area in Prayagraj when the bike he was riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The 18-year-old student, identified as Aryan, died on the spot. His friend, Adarsh Bharati, who was also on the bike, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Handia, police said. The incident occurred as both students, residents of Sangrampatti village and enrolled in Class 11 at National Inter College in Handia, were on their way to school. Local police arrived at the scene, and after legal formalities, Aryan's body was sent for post-mortem. His cremation took place on Tuesday. Aryan's mother, Manju Devi, shared that he was the third of four siblings, and his father, Vidyasagar, works as a laborer.
