PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 2 -- A young man died under suspicious circumstances after allegedly consuming poison, triggering tension in the area as his family refused to allow the funeral until an FIR was registered. When police attempted to persuade them, a clash broke out in which around a dozen policemen - including an inspector, a sub-inspector and a woman constable - were injured. Several villagers, including members of the deceased's family, also sustained injuries. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment. The family agreed to proceed with the funeral only after police registered an FIR against three accused.
