City may see some rain, lightning today
Lucknow, May 5 -- The city might experience one or two spells of rain or thundershower even as the mercury was likely to hover between 38 and 26 degrees Celsius on Monday, weathermen said.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predictions, partly cloudy skies might give way to general cloudy skies later on the day. Along with thunderstorm warning, lightning and gusty winds with speeds gusting up to 60 kmph were very likely at isolated places.
Meanwhile, Sunday saw temperatures swivel between 37.9 and 24.5 degrees Celsius.
Across the state, strong winds that blew at isolated places were likely to lessen in intensity from Sunday.
However, strong gusty winds/thundersqualls were still likely at isolated places over the state over the next 3 to 4 days, the weathermen said on Sunday.
During the last 24 hours, very light to light rainfall was recorded at isolated places over both meteorological divisions of Uttar Pradesh.
Aligarh saw 1 cm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am.
While the maximum temperatures were likely to remain similar over the next 72 hours and gradually rise by 2-3 degrees thereafter, the minimum temperatures were likely to gradually rise by 2-4 degrees in the next 5 days, according to the IMD bulletin....
