LUCKNOW, April 4 -- The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Union minister for food processing industries Chirag Paswan, is planning to contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. An ally of the NDA at the Centre and in Bihar, the Lok Janshakti Party has begun strengthening its organisation in Uttar Pradesh. The party has divided UP into four zones - East UP, West UP, Central UP, and the Bundelkhand region. Arun Bharti, the party's MP from Jamui Lok Sabha seat in Bihar, has been made in-charge of Uttar Pradesh. In East UP, the districts bordering Bihar will be a key focus area, given the party's influence in those regions.
