PRAYAGRAJ, June 6 -- The Allahabad high court has granted bail to two men accused of chanting Hanuman Chalisa outside a mosque in Meerut. Justice Rajbeer Singh allowed the bail applications of Sachin Sirohi and Sanjay Samarval. According to the prosecution, the accused, along with others, forcibly recited the Hanuman Chalisa at a religious place belonging to another faith, allegedly promoting enmity and hatred on religious grounds. Counsel for the accused claimed they were falsely implicated due to political enmity and that no credible evidence was presented against them.
