Chain-snatching gang that preyed on elderly women busted
LUCKNOW, May 13 -- Lucknow Police on Sunday arrested three members of an organised gang allegedly involved in targeting elderly women sitting alone outside their homes in the Vrindavan Colony area.

Those arrested have been identified as Sumit Chauhan, 20, of Nepalganj, PGI area, Vikas alias Kulhad, 21, of Telibagh and Ayush Shakya, 21 of Defence Colony in Telibagh.

During interrogation, they confessed to forming a gang that specifically targeted elderly individuals, particularly women found sitting alone outside their residences, police said.
