New Delhi, Oct. 30 -- The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) has taken a serious view of lapses made in answering a Right to Information (RTI) application on the Aarogya Setu app that invited the ire of the Central Information Commission (CIC), people familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

The ministry has ordered action against officers responsible for the evasive response over the creation of the indigenous Covid-19 contact tracing app that the CIC described as "preposterous," the people said, requesting anonymity.
