LUCKNOW, April 29 -- The Central Bar Association's annual election, held between 9am and 5pm on Monday amid tight security arrangements, saw a significant turnout with 3,182 voters casting their ballot out of 3,714 eligible voters. The counting of votes will begin on Tuesday, and is expected to continue till Saturday. The results for the positions of president, general secretary and senior vice president will be announced first. The election was conducted by the Elders Committee, as per the high court's directives.
