Central Bar Assn poll held,counting of votes from today
LUCKNOW, April 29 -- The Central Bar Association's annual election, held between 9am and 5pm on Monday amid tight security arrangements, saw a significant turnout with 3,182 voters casting their ballot out of 3,714 eligible voters. The counting of votes will begin on Tuesday, and is expected to continue till Saturday.
The results for the positions of president, general secretary and senior vice president will be announced first. The election was conducted by the Elders Committee, as per the high court's directives.
Heavy police and administrative security measures were in place at the polling station to ensure a smooth voting process. Despite the scorching heat, a significant number of advocates participated in the election, exercising their right to vote.
