LUCKNOW, Nov. 13 -- A woman was booked after she allegedly grabbed a sub-inspector by his collar and bit two women constables who stopped her from drinking beer in a car in Naka Hindola here late Monday night, police said. According to Naka inspector Shrikant Rai, sub-inspector Amjad Ali, and constables Ashok and Anup, who were on night patrol near Bans Mandi crossing, spotted a parked car in which the woman and three men were drinking beer. When the officers objected, the woman became aggressive and began arguing with the police. Despite repeated attempts to pacify her, she allegedly grabbed the SI by the collar and broke his shirt's buttons. Women constables Rani Verma, Shashi Devi, Kiran, and Farheen Rizvi were called to the spot to assist. During the scuffle, the woman, who identified herself as Mansi, allegedly bit Rizvi and Kiran on their hands. She was eventually overpowered and taken to the police station, where she reportedly continued to misbehave and even hit the personnel there with her slippers, police said. Police said a case was registered against the woman and her companions under relevant sections of the law, and further investigation was underway. She was, however, yet to be arrested....
