Case against Pallavi Patel for climbing atop train engine during stir
Lucknow, May 10 -- A case was registered against Sirathu MLA Pallavi Patel and unidentified individuals under various sections of the Railway Act after the Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) leader Pallavi Patel, along with her party workers, protested at Charbagh railway station, demanding the implementation of the UGC Regulation Act 2026. Patel stopped an inspection train, climbed onto its engine, and shouted slogans against the state government.
Charbagh RPF Station in-charge Bhupendra Singh confirmed that police registered a case against Pallavi Patel and unidentified persons under sections of the Railway Act. The case covers unauthorised entry into railway premises, creating a nuisance on the platform, unauthorised boarding of the train engine, and causing inconvenience to passengers, among other violations.
Apna Dal (K) workers from various districts arrived at Charbagh station on Saturday afternoon as part of a plan to surround the Vidhan Bhavan.
When they began marching toward the assembly, police stopped them. Thereafter, the party workers began shouting slogans and protesting outside the station. Meanwhile, Pallavi Patel suddenly entered the station, followed by the workers. Despite police attempts to stop them, she and the workers reached platform number one. They stopped an inspection vehicle and climbed onto its engine to protest. Some activists stood on the tracks in front of the engine, while others lay down, causing the train to come to a standstill. The RPF, GRP, and local police apprehended them after much effort....
