VARANASI, Aug. 29 -- A delegation of carpet manufacturers, led by All India Carpet Manufacturers Association (AICMA) chairman Raza Khan, met Bhadohi Member of Parliament Vinod Bind on Thursday to raise concerns over the challenges faced by the carpet industry due to tariffs imposed by the United States. Raza Khan said, "In this challenging environment created by the US tariffs, our industry stands at a crossroads. Its survival now depends on timely support from the government. We are deeply concerned about the impact these tariffs have created." The delegation included former CEPC chairman Siddhinath Singh, former AICMA chairman Ravi Patodia, Shaukat Ansari, CEPC Administrative Committee members Aslam Mehboob, Sanjay Gupta, and Imtiaz Ansari, AICMA treasurer Shamim Ansari, joint secretary Umesh Shukla, as well as Suryamani Tiwari, Ghulam Sarfuddin Ansari, Omkar Mishra, and Umesh Gupta.
