Haldwani, July 14 -- The carcass of an eight-year-old male tiger was found in the Chandni beat of Bailparao range under the Tarai West forest division in Kumaon, forest officials said on Sunday. According to divisional forest officer (DFO) Prakash Chandra Arya, the decomposed body of the big cat was discovered by a patrolling team in Compartment No. 1 during routine surveillance on Saturday. "The patrolling team immediately alerted senior officials upon spotting the carcass," Arya said. Preliminary assessment by forest officials suggested that the tiger died two to three days ago. "The animal appears to be around eight years old. Injury marks were found on its body, indicating the possibility of a territorial fight with another tiger," Arya said....
