LUCKNOW, Sept. 7 -- A moving car caught fire in front of a mall on Shaheed Path around 8.30 in the evening on Saturday, triggering chaos on the busy stretch and bringing traffic to a standstill for hours. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle got engulfed in flames within minutes, causing panic among commuters and pedestrians. Officials said the exact number of occupants was yet to be confirmed, but no casualties had been reported till late in the night. Fire tenders from Gomti Nagar station were dispatched but got stuck in the traffic jam. The blaze was eventually brought under control. The car (registration number UP78 DE4901) was later removed with the help of a crane, restoring normal traffic. "The cause of the fire is under investigation. It is yet to be ascertained how many people were inside the vehicle when it caught fire," the fire station in-charge said....
