Apart from liquor bottles, bills of liquor sales were also recovered from the spot. Vivek Singh said the operators had previously evaded action by dumping liquor bottles in an adjoining vacant plot whenever officials carried out surprise checks. The excise department has registered a case at the Gomti Nagar police station against cafe owner Ankit Verma, alleged partner Piyush Shukla, manager Mukesh Kumar, and staffer Ajimushan Khan under the Excise Act and BNS.
