Mussoorie, May 24 -- Twenty-eight pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh sustained minor injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned on the Gangotri highway near the Nalupani hairpin bend on Friday, police said. Dinesh Kumar, station in-charge at Dharasu, said the bus was carrying 45 pilgrims towards Gangotri Dham after completing the pilgrimage at Yamunotri Dham. "At approximately 10.30am, the bus lost control and overturned at the sharp Naloopani bend, following which 28 passengers were injured. Of these, 22 were rushed to the district hospital in Uttarkashi," he said. Following the incident, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took to X and wrote, "I pray to God for the speedy recovery of all the injured passengers." htc...
