Prayagraj, April 27 -- Allahabad Museum on Sunday opened a special exhibition, Silent Preacher: Buddha Purnima Showcase, ahead of Buddha Jayanti. It was inaugurated by Shubhashish Panda, additional secretary (culture), PMO. The display features rare black schist stone sculptures of Buddha's birth, enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana from the Gandhara school of the Kushan period. Panda also released Kushan Art and Buddha. The museum also launched "Music in Park" for weekend performances by emerging artists. United University held its first Alumni Meet 2026 on Saturday, attended by students from the 2023 to 2025 batches. Alumni met teachers, toured the campus, visited departments and classrooms, and shared memories. Vice-chancellor Prof AM Agarwal and senior vice president Gaurav Gulati interacted with former students and wished them success.
