BSP leader's son dies by suicide in Amroha
Meerut, June 4 -- The son of a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader allegedly died by suicide at the family's residence in Amroha on Monday night, police said. The 21-year-old used a licensed revolver to shoot himself, they added. According to police, none of the family members were at home when the incident occurred. They returned around 10.15 pm to find the house's main gate locked.
Circle officer (City) Shakti Singh, inspector Pankaj Tomar and other police officials arrived at the scene after they were informed of the incident. "The police have seized the licensed revolver and the victim's mobile phone and laptop for further investigation," the CO said.
The BSP leader has worked for the party in several capacities over the years. The youngster was pursuing chartered accountancy in Delhi. He and his sister, who also lives in Delhi, had returned home to be with their ailing parents. While the motive of the alleged suicide was still unclear, police have launched an investigation into the incident and have begun questioning the family members. Also, no note was found in the youngster's room. Several BSP leaders rushed to the family's residence upon hearing the news....
