Brazilian team at Shivri plant to study waste mgmt system
Lucknow, May 28 -- A high-level delegation from Brazil on Tuesday visited Shivri Plant of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) to get an overview of city's waste management system. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, additional municipal commissioner Arvind Kumar Rao and environmental engineer Sanjeev Pradhan along with other officials accompanied the team.
The Brazilian delegation included Paulo Azevedo, CEO of CAMARA INDO BRASILEIRA, and Gustavo Ramos, COO.
While touring the Shivri Plant, Paulo Azevedo expressed admiration for the innovative waste disposal methods adopted by LMC and emphasised that such advanced technology could be implemented in various Brazilian cities.
The Brazilian delegation also requested to strengthen technological collaboration and partnerships between India and Brazil. They highlighted that both countries face similar challenges in waste management, and India's technological advancements could greatly assist Brazil in addressing these issues....
