Book on Vajpayee by Pathak to be launched on late PM's death anniv
LUCKNOW, Aug. 15 -- Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak has authored a book on former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, titled 'Atulniya Atalji (Vyaktitva, Vichar aur Virasat)', which will be released on Saturday, the late leader's death anniversary.
The book focuses on Vajpayee's life philosophy, ideological contributions, and legacy.
The work contains three articles written by Vajpayee in the 1960s on nationalism, Indianness, and the promotion of Indian languages. It also compiles three notable speeches, including his first address to the United Nations General Assembly in Hindi as external affairs minister, his first Red Fort address as prime minister, and his inaugural speech as president of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh.
Selected poems by Vajpayee, often recited in his speeches, are also featured. Pathak said the book is aimed at introducing the younger generation to Vajpayee's thoughts and legacy, while portraying him as a poet, writer, thinker, people's leader, and freedom fighter.
The biography also reflects the narrative of contemporary Indian politics, public struggles, and nation-building, making it relevant for readers in politics, literature, and journalism....
