Book on Tipu Sultan released
PRAYAGRAJ, March 24 -- Mewaram's historical novel, Tipu Sultan, was released at Swaraj Vidyapeeth, Prayagraj, with a formal welcome of guests, Saraswati Vandana and lighting of lamps, courtesy Ashadeep Parivar and Swaraj Vidyapeeth on Sunday. Presiding over the ceremony, general secretary of Etawah Hindi Seva Nidhi Trust, Pradeep Kumar, congratulated the author and called this novel important and urged him to write novels on the lives of Shivaji and Sambhaji. Chief guest of the ceremony Prof Rajendra Kumar, while speaking on Tipu Sultan, recalled the sacrifice of Bhagat Singh and called Tipu Sultan a martyr of earlier times. Asking questions like how the writer should write and how the reader should read, he said that if people have their way today, they would remove the Mughal era from history. In this sequence, Anupam Parihar, as the next speaker, talked about the education of Tipu Sultan by Hyder Ali. Well-known critic Prof Kumar Virendra said that Mewaram has woven the fabric of his writing by keeping all the conflicts of history at the centre. The novel begins and ends with dialogue. Tipu Sultan's bravery has been described through Sanjeev's novel Phans and Jaishankar's story Gunda. Prof says that there are also touches of poetry in Mewaram's novel.
