Kanpur, July 9 -- The body of a senior railway officer, who had been missing for the past three days, was found in a drain near his residence under the Naubasta police station limits in Kanpur on Tuesday, the police said. The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras for leads.Kanpur's deputy commissioner of police (South) Deependra Nath Chowdhary said, "Our teams were actively searching for him ever since he was reported missing. Today, his body was found in a drain near his residence." The deceased, Lakshmi Narayan, 54, was the chief office superintendent at Kanpur's Govindpuri station under the North Central Railway.
