LUCKNOW, Dec. 13 -- A Lucknow police constable died by suicide on Friday after hanging himself in his rented room in Baraha Colony area of the state capital under Alambagh police station limits. The deceased was from Aligarh district and was posted as a driver at the Alambagh police station. Bal Krishna had stopped taking calls from his family since the afternoon, prompting concern. His family then contacted a fellow constable, who went to check on him and found his body hanging in the room. Inspector Phulchand of Alambagh police station said the police station received information about the incident around 8 pm. Police took custody of the body and sent it for postmortem. Officials said the reason behind the suicide is still unclear, and an investigation is underway....
